HONOR 9N REVIEW

The Honor 9N is a not considered as a successor to the Honor 9 Lite that was released earlier this year. But simply put, it is another handset in Honor’s lengthy arsenal of smartphones, and this time with just a notch.

With the Honor 9N, we get the highly coveted notched design, and it looks right at home with handsets that cost a lot more. This design alone is intended to tempt people to shell out cash to buy this budget smartphone instead of going for the dated, all round bezel design.
Unlike the Honor 9 Lite, the 9N aims to provide that minimalistic bezel-free design that is available on handsets that cost a lot more. Honor has termed this 5.84-inch display as FullView with Notch and as mentioned earlier, this essentially aims to provide a higher screen to body ratio, which is an impressive 79      per cent.
Honor 9N is an upgrade over the Honor 9 Lite which was launched earlier this January in India. The biggest difference between the two is the notch display design. Honor 9N also features a 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone comes in four colour options of midnight black, sapphire blue, lavender purple, and robin egg blue.
Honor 9N has a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood of the smartphone runs in-house Kirin 659 processor. For photography, Honor 9N has a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual-camera setup at the rear, and a 16-megapixel front camera.

The smartphone packs a 3,000mAh battery, and runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMIUI 8.0 on the software front. Honor 9N features face unlock and a rear fingerprint sensor for security.
The base model of Honor 9N with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at Rs 11,999. Honor 9N with 4GB RAM plus 64GB and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively.
Honor 9N features face unlock which works for notifications as well. It also has a rear fingerprint sensor located at the top center. The rear fingerprint sensor can be used to answer calls and take photos, and also silence alarms.

Honor 9N has a dual-camera setup at the rear which is a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel combination. Honor 9N sports a 16-megapixel selfie camera which is claimed to offer good photos in low-light conditions. It features 3D face contouring, smart and gender beautification, and the ability to change image backgrounds.
